About Cullercoats

This is a near neighbour of Whitley Bay, it was once a quiet fishing village but recent times have seen it become part of a sprawling resort.

Cullercoats has many pleasing aspects including a picturesque 19th century church in a commanding position close to the shoreline. It has a fine sandy beach and still retains the old harbour walls. The resort is a popular sailing and surfing destination.
